Our Beliefs – The 16 Fundamental Truths (Assemblies of God)
At Kirkland Bethel Assembly, we stand on the Bible as God’s Word and embrace the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God as our statement of faith:
- The Scriptures Inspired – The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
- The One True God – We believe in one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ – Jesus is fully God and fully man.
- The Fall of Man – Humanity fell into sin and needs salvation.
- The Salvation of Man – Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
- The Ordinances of the Church – Water baptism and Holy Communion are practiced.
- The Baptism in the Holy Spirit – A distinct experience empowering believers for service.
- The Initial Physical Evidence of the Holy Spirit – Speaking in tongues as initial evidence.
- Sanctification – A process of becoming more like Christ through the Holy Spirit.
- The Church and Its Mission – The Church exists to seek and save the lost and make disciples.
- The Ministry – God calls and equips leaders to serve the Church.
- Divine Healing – Healing is provided through Christ and is available through prayer.
- The Blessed Hope – Jesus will return for His Church (the rapture).
- The Millennial Reign of Christ – Christ will reign on earth for a thousand years.
- The Final Judgment – There will be a final judgment for all humanity.
- The New Heavens and the New Earth – God will create a new heaven and a new earth for eternity.
